Not many weeks back I saw the movie Chhapaak .Throughout the movie I was crying. The physical as well as emotional trauma that these acid attack survivors have to go through is something we cant even imagine. No matter how much we think that we can feel their pain but the truth is we cant. 

Then released the movie Tanhaji. Being a Maharashtrian and being an admirer of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his disciples I was looking forward to watch this movie. The narrative of this Veer Maratha was flawlessly portrayed.In its true sense the unsung warrior was celebrated , was remembered for his huge sacrifice. I cried a lot during this movie too.These men define Patriotism in its true sense.

This movie was praised by individuals and so was Veer Maratha Tanhaji as his story was unknown to many.I heard a man saying to individuals "Watch TANHAJI over CHHAPAAK".He meant one should watch Tanhaji also they should encourage their kids to watch Tanhaji .His intention or I would rather say his mindset behind saying this was that if your child watches Tanhaji he will grow into a man as courageous,as righteous ,as loyal,as strong as Tanhaji. He also meant that do not show them Chhapaak so that these children wouldn't grow into someone as cruel, as coldblooded, as villain, as unfeeling ,as the acid attacker from Chhapaak. But I disagree to this ideology. Do you want to know why?

I would want my child to see the story of this great Maratha warrior and be like him. Understand his sacrifice.But at the same time I would want him to watch Chhapaak so that he understands that an act of cruelty like this can destroy someones life. He can understand the intensity behind this crime.I want him to see Chhapaak so that even if he doesn't know what he needs to be like but he should definitely know what he shouldn't be like. 

As parents,as teachers,as counsels we often tell someone what to do but we miss out upon teaching what not to do. From the beginning itself educating people with this approach is extremely important specially into a nation like ours. Hope you like my approach and going ahead adopt it too. My question to you is Will you?
